EARSC, the European Association of RS companies.
This poster was presented and discussed at the Climate change, deforestation and the future of African rainforests conference in Oxford from 4 to 6 January 2012. Our poster was untitled “Comparison and integration of High Resolution and Very High Resolution EO (Earth Observation) data in Forest Monitoring in Central Africa” and illustrated the results of REDDiness survey in Republic of Congo and Gabon as well as methods of integrating remote sensing information about forest degradation. During the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP 17) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, from the 28th of November to 10th of December 2011, a day called “REDD+ day of the Republic of Congo” was organized by the REDD National Coordination. Information about REDDiness first outputs and focus for further EO monitoring actions were shown. More info here.
